My name is Dimas and I chose the Stanley Hotel because my sister went there for a college trip, and she has told me a lot about her visit.

    The Stanley Hotel is most famous for its role in the book that Stephen King wrote, The Shining. The Stanley Hotel was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley after he purchased the 160 acres of land from Lord Earl Dunraven. F.O. Stanley was the inventor of the Stanley Steamer. They started construction on the main building in 1907 on 55 acres of land. Some of the original buildings are still in use today.

    I have heard a lot about the Stanley Hotel and now I want to go. It is My Community, My Colorado.
