In 2018 I’m going to college at the University of Denver. I went to visit the University of Denver with my school teammates and I saw green trees and grass all around the campus. It was very quiet on the campus. I want to study at the University of DU because my friends and I found it interesting. It is in a nice neighborhood, a very pretty campus and I won’t be separated from my family. In 1864 the University of Denver opened. John Evans is responsible for opening the university. Originally it was a seminary for the Methodist church.  The seminary only lasted a couple years before it had to close. A few years later it reopened as the University of Denver we know today. The new University of Denver was built on an old potato farm. It is My Community, My Colorado.
