My name is Rodolfo and my family has a special connection to the Colorado Rockies and Coors Field.
In April of 1993 the Colorado Rockies played their first regular season game. On April 26, 1995 the Rockies played their first game in the brand new stadium, Coors Field, which would be their home from then on. Coors Field was built on 20th and Blake Street. While Coors Field was being built, they discovered a triceratops skull where they were digging. This is why the Rockies mascot “Dinger” is a triceratops. In the late nineties my uncle began his taco business. My uncle says the Rockies employees support his business.
Sometimes my uncle gives me tickets to go to Rockies games and I have extra so I get to invite my friends. My friends love to go. I feel very connected to the Colorado Rockies. It is My Community, My Colorado.
